Shipping to the USA – Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there an extra invoice for tariffs?
From 22 September 2025, US Customs requires all duties and tariffs to be prepaid by the sender before parcels can enter the country. Australia Post has introduced a new system to handle this, and we must use it for all US orders.

How will I know the tariff amount?
After you place your order, we will calculate the applicable tariffs and send you a separate invoice. The amount depends on the contents of your order and US tariff rates.

When do I have to pay the tariffs?
We will email you as soon as the tariff is confirmed. You can then choose to pay the invoice so we can ship your order, or cancel for a full refund.

Will I get surprise charges on delivery?
No. Because tariffs are prepaid at our end, you will not receive unexpected bills when your parcel arrives in the US.

Can I cancel if I don’t want to pay the tariffs?
Yes. If you’d prefer not to pay the additional charges, we’ll cancel your order and issue a full refund.

Do these rules apply to all orders?
Yes, unless the parcel is a document or a gift valued under US$100. Regular purchases are always subject to tariffs.
