In this book the author has introduced the lacemaker to new techniques, including floral lace, in the challenging and enjoyable art of making bobbin lace.

A sound knowledge of bobbin lacemaking is assumed; this is not a book for absolute beginners. The lacemaker should be familiar with stitches and techniques such as whole stitch, half stitch, working a footside, and the use of a gimp thread.

The patterns are progressive, beginning with the basic stitches and are designed to introduce new techniques as you go.
