Who and what is La Trappistine?
La Trappistine is Graeme's adaptation for cross-stitch of a poster by the legendary Czechoslovakian-born artist, Alphonse Maria Mucha (1860 - 1939) for Trappistine liqueres.
If you particularly like this design, Graeme recommended 'Gismonda' and 'La Tosca' which Mucha created for the renowned French actress, Sarah Bernhardt, both of which can also be found at this web site.
For those who like the art of Mucha as much as Graeme did, included in his range are Amethyst, Emerald and Ruby, as well as two monotones, Blue Girl and Green Girl.
