Class - Colouring in the Easy Way with Carol
One x 3 hour Class
Quantity Available: 11
Drawing is not something everyone is comfortable doing. So how do you get an image onto the fabric to embroider and embellish to your hearts content. Carol will show you a way to start, using this lovely flower and heart. While we will work from the same image, everyone's work will be individual in its interpretation, as I encourage you to embroider free style and maybe add a bit of embellishment with a few beads or sequins for some bling.
This class is for students with basic embroidery skill levels.
Kit provided: Includes the image, denim and some black georgette. Some beads and sequins will be available if you would like to add some extra zing.

Carol Cooke - Textile Artist
Recently nominated as a finalist in the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize and The Corner Store Gallery, Orange for a small series award, Carol is developing new classes every year.
After completing two degrees at ANU in Visual Arts, Textiles and Art History and Curatorship last year, her life has never been fuller. But her daily practice always includes embroidery. Her need to slow down sometimes and continue to be creative has always been with a needle and thread.
Carol loves to meet people who don’t want to 'colour in between the lines' and have fun experimenting with needle and thread.
Classes include design and develop an embroidered Book Cover, Colour In Between the Lines, and Free Style Alphabet Embroidery. Her introductory class Stitch Meditation was filled last time. We have fun with a fortune cookie and that gets us started on another tool for relaxation. All these classes can be an introduction to embroidery, for beginners or new ideas for participants who have already mastered the basics.
